Garlic Steak and Potato Foils

We sometimes like to be able to get home from work, prepare a meal in minutes and then either relax or potter about whilst dinner is nicely cooking in the oven.

This is a great cooking method that seals in the flavour, retains the juices from the meat and vegetables and is so easy to prepare. You can add your own twist, swap the steak for chicken or gammon etc and add vegetables and seasonings of your choice.

I use the SpiceNtice seasonings a lot. This recipe uses the SpiceNtice Italian Rub which goes perfectly with steak and enhances what is already a delicious Syn Free Slimming World friendly meal.

The method is so simple – it’s not rocket science, no exact oven temps – I pre heated mine to gas 6-7 and cooked for 45-50 mins. You will need a good strong foil.

My Ingredients to serve 2

SpiceNtice Italian Rub

4 minute steaks sliced into strips

1/2 large onion sliced into rings

New potatoes quartered (however many you like)

1 fat garlic clove crushed

Butter Frylight

2 pieces of foil apx 14 inches long

Place all the meat, garlic and vegetables into a bowl, spray generously with butter Frylight. Add a heaped tbsp of SpicNtice Italian Rub and stir. Season to your liking. Divide the meat and vegetables between however many foils you are using. Add a few more pinches of Italian Rub if you like a stronger herby flavour. Seal the foils tightly and place on a baking tray seam side up. Place in the oven and cook for apx 1 hr.Garlic_steak_and_potato_foils
