I just had to make these in honour of The Jam Goddess who so very kindly sent me her products to review. I was delighted she reached out to me, she is a lovely shining light in the life of a slimmer!
The Jam Goddess Fruit spreads are incredibly healthy and low calorie. They taste of real fruit and are 100% natural, vegan friendly, gluten free and gut friendly – they contain chia seeds. This is a simple recipe – I love simplicity. Especially when you can create delicious little desserts that help keep you on plan.
Just a note about sweetener, I used a tbsp. If you are going to eat the lot then count 1/2 syn for the sweetener. If again you eat the lot, you can count the milk as part of your healthy extra a. If you do manage to much through them all, it’s 16 syns for them all otherwise they work out at just under 3 syns each.
To make Berry Jam Baked Egg Custards you will need a non stick baking tray that fits 6 of the Tortilla shells
6 Old El Paso Stand n Stuff Mini soft tortillas (2 syns each)
3 small eggs beaten well in a bowl
1 tbsp sweetener
50ml semi skimmed milk (1.5 syns)
65gms Berry Burst and Chia Fruit Spread (2 syns)
1 tsp ground nutmeg
Pre heat oven to gas 5, electric 180 fan 160
Make sure your eggs are beaten thoroughly. Add the sweetener add the milk and whisk until blended.
Lay the tortilla shells on the baking tray. Using a tablespoon carefully spoon the egg mix evenly into each shell . Divide the Berry spread between the shells and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Place in the middle of the oven for apx 25-35 mins depending on your oven and cook until the egg has set. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
