A low fat and gluten free dumpling ?

Or perhaps one that is low in syns if you are on Slimming World. It’s a Slimmers Dream, or it was until now! The days when you dreamt of a savoury dumpling that sits on top of your stew soaked in gravy are finally a reality without going off plan, without the guilt, without the negative impact on your diet.

To make these Savoury Low Carb and Low Fat Dumplings you will need
A good homemade stew of your choice with plenty of gravy in an oven proof dish
A non stick ‘tart’ mould tray
** Pre heat oven to Gas 6, Electric 200, Fan 180
1 piece of Lo-Dough – Low calorie bread alternative blitzed into fine breadcrumbs
1 extra large egg
8 tbsp semi skimmed milk
Pinch of salt
Combine the Lo-Dough crumbs with the egg, salt and milk and mix to form a batter.
Spray your moulds with Frylight and place a teaspoon of your gravy in each mould
Spread the mixture evenly between 9 -10 moulds. Place in the oven and cook until the mixture is set and starting to brown round the edges. Apx 20 mins
Carefully loosen each dumpling and arrange on the top of your stew
I added a few flakes of cheese on top and a sprinkle of parsley but this is purely up to you and not part of the recipe. This is where you get to play!
Place back in the oven for 5-10 mins until golden

Each dumpling is apx 20 cals each
