I love savoury. In fact given a choice between savoury and sweet, savoury would win most times. After having a few days of beautiful sweet mug cakes it is time for a savoury one! This recipe is great for those following a Keto plan, calorie counting or slimming world and many more. You can taste cheese in every mouthful and it’s an incredibly satisfying savoury mug cake!
The benefits of using Lo-Dough for your Mug cakes instead of flour are fantastic. Lo-Dough is incredibly low in carbs, low in calories and has filling power. It’s also gluten free. Mug cakes really are so filling, full of healthy ingredients and also gorgeous breakfast.

More delicious Lo-Dough Mug Cakes I have made
To make a Cheese, ham and tomato Skinny Mug Cake you will need
A microwaveable Mug and of course a microwave!
A food processor
1 piece of Lo-Dough blitzed into fine breadcrumbs – can be purchased here Low calorie bread alternative
1 extra large egg
1 tbsp milk
30gms grated cheddar cheese
1 slice of ready cooked ham finely chopped
The tops off a few spring onions finely chopped
4 cherry tomatoes sliced thinly
Salt and pepper
In a bowl combine all the ingredients, mix thoroughly and season. Place the tomatoes into the bottom of the cup cover with the rest of the mixture.
Place your mug cake in the microwave for two minutes. Leave to stand for five minutes – your mug cake will continue to cook during this time. Loosen the cake from the cup with a knife and turn onto a plate. Serve and enjoy. Simple!
