Lo-Dough Breakfast Bowl

This is a simple extremely delicious way of getting your protein, your speed vegetables if you are a Slimming Worlder like means enjoying a tasty, alternative breakfast idea as we all get fed up with making the same choices day in and day out. To make this you will need an oven proof pudding bowl type dish you can press your Lo-Dough into. I use an enamel one I bought from Boyes for about £3


1 piece of Lo-Dough

4 medium tomatoes quartered

8 mushrooms quartered

1 egg

2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tsp sweetener

1 pinch dried minced garlic

1 pinch dried basil

Fresh ground salt and pepper

Butter Frylight

Pre heat oven to gas 5, electric 190, fan 170


Place Lo-Dough in the bowl. Pressing down to shape and pop into the oven until firm – apx 5 mins

Meanwhile add tomatoes and mushrooms to a frying pan sprayed with frylight and stir fry gently for 2 mins. Add garlic, basil, sweetener and balsamic and stir fry for a further two mins. Season to taste

Remove bowl from oven and tip the tomatoes etc into it, moving them to one side. Break to egg and gently tip into the other side of the bowl. Spray with frylight then cover with tin foil. Place back in the oven and cook for apx 15 mins until the egg is cooked to your preference. This all depends on the size of egg etc so be careful to monitor. Remove bowl from Pudding bowl and serve with a splash of ketchup or brown sauce
